Harigopinath Babu, executive officer, said Rs 2,97,381 was collected through hundis at the temple of Sri Venkateswara Swamy, which is located on One Town Brahmana Street. The hundis of gift offerings made by devotees to the Swami at the temple were counted on Monday. The calculation was carried out under the supervision of phani kumar, an inspection officer from the office of the Assistant Commissioner of endowment.
G.Paaparao, chairman of the temple’s governing body, said that despite the temple being completely closed for about four months ga in the wake of the corona, the revenue of up to Rs three lakh was significant. The counting program was supervised by Hari Gopinath Babu. Governing body members Baalaraju Ramesh, S.Bhramaramba, D. Bharathi, S.Durga Nagamalleswari, P. Venkatarayudu T. Varalakshmi Priests P. Sriramachandramoorthy P. Murali Krishnamacharya and others participated.
