Chennai: The political crisis in the Annadmk is over. Incumbent CM Palaniswami has another chance. His name has been chosen as the chief ministerial candidate in the coming elections. The decision was taken at a meeting at the party headquarters in Chennai a short while ago. Panneer Selvam nominated Palaniswami as the CM candidate. Panneer Selvan was given the responsibility of overseeing the affairs of the party.
Palaniswami and Panneer Selvam signed the agreement. The steering committee was formed with 11 members. Of these, six are Palaniswami supporters and five are Panneer Selvam supporters. There has been a huge controversy in the party so far on the issue of who is the CM candidate. Palaniswami and Panneer Selvam indirectly stated that they are me.
