Vice President Venkaiah Naidu got a corona positive. This was revealed during the routine tests conducted on Tuesday morning. Venkaiah Naidu’s wife Ushamma got a negative when she had a corona test. Venkaiah did not show any signs of corona infection and was in good health, sources in the Vice President’s House said. Doctors advised him to stay at home isolation. When he came to know that Venkaiah Naidu was getting corona positive, Prime Minister Modi phoned him and inquired about his health.
Officials said Venkaiah underwent a CT scan on the advice of the Prime Minister and his chest and lungs were found to be healthy and the corona effect was minimal. It is learned that Venkaiah recently held Rajya Sabha meetings. Corona infected 83 members of the Rajya Sabha staff and 13 members of the Vice President’s office staff. Authorities said Venkaiah was safe, exercising regularly and following a healthy diet. He was speaking at the opening of the 14th FICCI Heal Conference on Tuesday evening on “The Post-Corona World-New Beginning”. His daughter Deepa Venkat said there was no need to worry about Venkaiah’s health.
